The Library is situated in the Centre of Rome, in Piazza della Minerva, n. 38, behind the Pantheon.

With public transport from Termini railway station:

• Take bus no. 40 (leaving every 5 minutes)
• Get off at Largo di Torre argentina stop
• Retrace your steps and take the first on the left (Via dei Cestari, a pedestrian precinct)
• Keep walking as far as the square with the statue of an elephant surmounted by an obelisk (Piazza della Minerva)
• The Library is the building facing you to the left of the church façade

With public transport from Fiumicino airport:

• Take the train to Fara Sabina (fare €5.50, ticket machines available)
• Get off at Roma Trastevere station
• Take tram no. 8 direction Argentina (your side of the road) as far as its final stop
• Cross the road and reach opposite corner of archaelogical area
• Cross main street and walk into Via dei cestari
• Keep walking as far as the square with the statue of an elephant surmounted by an obelisk (Piazza della Minerva)
• The Library is the building facing you to the left of the church façade

With public transport from Ciampino airport:

• Take the no-stop bus to Roma Termini
• Take bus no. 40 (leaving every 5 minutes)
• Get off at Largo di Torre argentina stop
• Retrace your steps and take the first on the left (Via dei cestari)
• Keep walking as far as the square with the statue of an elephant surmounted by an obelisk (Piazza della Minerva)

Walking from Termini railway station (40 mins walk)

• Proceed to Piazza della Repubblica
• Turn left round fountain and go downwards into Via nazionale and into Via IV novembre, winding further downhill.
• Go across Piazza Venezia and straight ahead into narrow Via del plebiscito.
• Keep going straight into Piazza del Gesù and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. When you reach Largo di Torre argentina turn right into Via dei cestari
• Keep walking as far as the square with the statue of an elephant surmounted by an obelisk (Piazza della Minerva)
• The Library is the building facing you to the left of the church façade
