The Senate buildings
Former Spanish property building
Built on the ruins of Nero's and Alexander's baths probably during the 1500s, it was radically altered by its Spanish owners during the two following centuries. In 1933, after a long series of changes of ownership and further alterations, it became the barracks of the Senate security service.
It was purchased by the Government in 1980 and transferred to the Senate. Senators' offices are now located here.
