The building overlooks Piazza delle Coppelle and Via della Maddalena and houses senators' offices, logistic services and storage spaces. The Senate Bookshop - Official Information and Documentation Centre - is located at 27, Via della Maddalena.

The Centre aims at facilitating relations between the Senate and the public, by disseminating information on Senate activity and making documentation on parliamentary work and Senate publications more widely available.
