The Senate buildings

In an ancient historic city like Rome, there are some buildings which have become symbols of the past immersed in the present.

The Senate complex is a prime example: Palazzo Madama, the seat of the Upper House of Parliament since Rome became the capital of Italy, and its annexes, perfectly combine a time-honoured legacy with the demands of a modern democracy.
